Japanese food bar experience  at UMAI

No specific dishes are chosen; preferences or sensitivities can be noted at the beginning of the evening. Entry without shoes, as is customary at UMAI. The bar is open from 19:00 to 23:00 (by prior reservation only).

HAJIMARI

A light opening evening. A combination of cold and hot small dishes and one hot snack to finish. (Approx. 4 small dishes)

NAGARE

The perfect balance between bar and food, a journey of varied small dishes - cold, hot and medium that accompany the alcohol at a perfect pace. (Approx. 6 dishes)

KIWAMI

A full experience of a Japanese evening at Umai. A rich selection of cold and hot dishes, small main courses and changing chef's specials. (About 7 or 8 dishes)

At UMAI's izakaya evenings, the lights are soft, the sake is cold, and the dishes come out one after the other – small, precise, and full of character. Instead of choosing dishes, you simply let the chef put together an izakaya omakase for you – a seasonal sequence of flavors that feels like an evening in Tokyo, right here in Jaffa.

Each guest chooses their level of experience, and we take care of the rest. The pace is set by the kitchen, the atmosphere is light, and alcohol is ordered separately from the bar – sake, Japanese whiskey, highballs, cocktails, and Japanese beers.
